Medicine Wheel Youth Group Presents
JOIN HANDS WITH US
We seem like teenagers, but really we are heroes in our own epic.
Most teens know AIDS is out there but few take the precautions they should. They don't really understand that they are characters in this epic of AIDS, the story of their generation. You can get AIDS from unsafe sex, sharing needles or razors, or blood to blood contact.
We would like to invite you to join hands with the Medicine Wheel Youth to raise awareness about AIDS and HIV. JOIN HANDS WITH US is about coming together as a community of young people. Youth from around the city and beyond are invited to make handprints and add themselves to our web of awareness. Write what you know, have experienced, or have heard about AIDS in the book provided. We hope to create an epic poem of our thoughts that is hundreds of feet long for the world to see. Your work will be featured at the Boston Center for the Arts, Cyclorama for Medicine Wheel's 15th World AIDS Day Vigil.
